Féile 2024 returns for its 32nd year from August 10th – 17th and will feature more than 120 events across the Bogside, Brandywell, Creggan, Bishop Street, Fountain neighbourhoods and Derry City centre.

Party at the Park
Saturday 10th August / 2pm-5pm / Pilot’s Row, Rossville Street
Pilot’s Row will be transformed into a shared space where all cultures and traditions can come together for a positive community event for all the family. The event will feature Bouncy Castles, Face Painting, Henna Tattoos, Petting Farm, Toddlers Play Area, Live Music, Food and much more! This event will be Autism friendly with a creative sensory space inside.
The Greatest Show
The Greatest Show returns to Féile 2024 with some of Ireland’s finest circus acts, comedians and entertainers, popping up at locations across the neighbourhoods. Each show will be followed by a free circus workshop from In Your Space as part of the Circus Explored programme which makes circus skills possible for everyone, no matter where you are from or who you are. The project is supported by the Creative Ireland Programme in the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht Sport and Media as well as under the government’s Shared Island Initiative in the Department of the Taoiseach.

Lúnasa
Thursday 15th August
The Gaelic word for August is Lúnasa, named after the Celtic God, Lugh. It was traditionally a month of reaping and celebrations and Lúnasa was one of the great fire festivals that took place throughout the year. The Lúnasa event in Creggan on August 15th will have several elements including a new sporting event based on the historic Tailtiu Games at St Cecilia’s College sports grounds at Fanad Drive/Bishop’s Field, ‘Wan Big Street Party’ on Central Drive and a finale event featuring a procession celebrating local young people and a fire based climax will take place as well.

The Ryan McBride Cup
Wednesday 14th August / 2pm-5pm / Brandywell Showgrounds, Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium
Teams from the 2017 year group from across the city will celebrate the spirit of the late Derry City FC captain Ryan McBride as they compete for the Ryan McBride Cup, with additional prizes awarded for fair play, team work, respect, leadership, passion, commitment and loyalty. Thanks to the family of Ryan McBride & Brandywell Health Forum.
