Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)

The Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is a new requirement that grants permission to travel to the UK, including Northern Ireland.

The UK government will shortly begin to implement the next phase of the rollout of the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) scheme. This scheme will provide visitors with permission to travel to the UK and it will be a requirement for visitors to Northern Ireland from early 2025.  

By April 2025, all travellers who do not need a visa will require an ETA to travel to Northern Ireland.
