Renowned Brian Lacey with deep connections to Derry, will explore the fascinating story of St. Columba, the myths and legends surrounding his life, and the role of Adomnán in crafting his saintly image. This talk celebrates the 1400th anniversary of Adomnán's life and legacy, offering fresh insights into Irish heritage.
Following an intermission, Reverend Stephen Skuce will address contemporary challenges faced by faith traditions, exploring:
- How religions have been co-opted for political agendas.
- The collaborative role of faiths in rebuilding trust.
- Shared values of peace, justice, and equality that unite communities.
The evening concludes with a conversation between Brian and Stephen, followed by audience Q&A.
