About
A stunning course with views of the sea from every hole.
Greencastle Golf Club is nestled in the north east of the Inishowen peninsula with a view overlooking Lough Foyle, conveniently located along the renowned Wild Atlantic Way. It offers an 18 hole links golf course spanning 5972 yards.
The club was founded in 1892 as a nine hole course and during it’s centenary year opened a further nine, very challenging holes. The course is a 5972 yard par 70 for men and a 5245 yard par 70 for ladies. Many of the holes are played along the coast of Lough Foyle, and a stream running through the course is also a feature.
Renowned author Tom Coyne in his book “A Course called Ireland,” described Greencastle as a delightful surprise and praised its visually appealing golf experience. He highlighted the stunning holes situated on the coastline, featuring sea cliff tee boxes and a blind dogleg leading to an old lighthouse by the green.
The Club Captain, Paul McCole says: “We pride ourselves on being a little piece of undiscovered heaven, however, we are now ready to tell the world!”
