About

Walk in the footsteps of St Columba - the iconic saint who changed the destiny of these islands forever.

We follow an ancient pathway trodden by pilgrims since the 9th century, pausing at must-see landmarks on the way that take you from an early Medieval berthing port to the flashpoints of the recent conflict and deep into the sanctuary of Columba's Doire where his kneeling stone has been venerated from the earliest times.

Whats Included:

- Guided tour along a documented pilgrim pathway pausing at points of interest in the city's multi-layered history

- Convenient meeting point right outside Visit Derry Information Centre, Waterloo Place

- Free admission to St Columba Heritage Centre (and museum) with all walking tours

- View a rare facsimile of one of the treasures of Western Medieval art, the Book of Kells.

- Enjoy an audio tour of St Columba's Long Tower, the city's most ornate church, a gem within a gem

- Access to St Columba's Kneeling Stone: we invite you to place your hand into a time before history

- Enjoy complimentary tea/coffee in Cloisters Cafe overlooking the city's Brandywell-Bogside heartland
