About
Foyer is fire, the collective energy of an ensemble of musicians from across the world, united to share extraordinary experiences.
Sponsored by Alchemy Technology Services, ChallengeCurve, Fleming Steel, Nuprint Technologies Ltd, Arts&BusinessNI, Continuo Foundation, and Derry City and Strabane District Council, the much anticipated season two opens with the Midwinter Gala Concert on Wednesday 6 December at 7.30pm.
Vivaldi's epic Four Seasons frame the programme, as Le Foyer des Artistes returns, playing on period baroque instruments, to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Venitian masterpiece.
This must-see event features soloist and award-winning rising superstar Dutch violinist, Charlotte Spruit (23).
Not only that, joining Le Foyer des Artistes are two of Ireland’s stars - soprano, Kelli-Ann Masterson, recently described by Opera Magazine as ‘a remarkable Semele with incredible delivery of virtuoso arias’ - and Kerry born tenor, Gavan Ring who is no stranger to stages across the world with appearances this year at La Monnaie De Munt in Brussels and Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
LEF Founder and Conductor, Darren Hargan commented “We are delighted to launch this second season of concerts. Foyer means fire - it’s the collective energy of these incredible artists, united to share extraordinary music with everyone. Come to the concerts and bring your family and children too, or experience the creative process at our final open rehearsals”.
